VeggieTales is an American Christian franchise of children’s computer animated home entertainment series (videos, DVDs, and Blu-rays), television shows, feature films, web series, books, games and albums. Sarcastic, limbless, talking fruit and vegetable characters feature in videos that retell Bible stories and parody mainstream pop culture. Each episode presents a life lesson through a biblical worldview, Christian history and concepts. The lessons include dealing with bullies, handling peer pressure, forgiving others, fighting temptation, handling fear, listening to parents, having self-esteem and being compassionate. It was created by Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki, who both perform many of the characters’ voices. it was one of the earliest computer animated franchises, predating both ReBoot and Toy Story.
The net, activity booklets in dollar stores, family restaurants, or even sometimes at public libraries are sources of coloring pages, simple black and white drawings most commonly of cute cartoon characters. This cute felines real actual name is Kitty White, which is something only the most enthusiastic fans know. Most fans don't even realise that she is a twin with a sister is called Mimmy. You can only tell them apart by the color and placement of their bows. Kittys is red and sits on the left hand side of her head. Mimmy likes a yellow bow and shows hers on her right. Kitty resides in London, despite being a far eastern invention. Her house is a little white house with a red roof and she lives with both her parents. She attends classes where she can see her best friend, a small mouse named Joey. The company that made her is called Sanrio and although they have made over 400 characters it is only Hello kitty that has really made any success. This is even more incredible when you realise that Kitty has no mouth whatsoever! It is believed she does not need one as she speaks with her heart. Coloring pages not only enhance concentration skills, eye-hand coordination, color coordination and various other essential skills, they also give you some time to relax with your child. Moreover, coloring papers are so enjoyable and learning that parents give feedback of increased concentration among their children, better coordination of colors etc. So now to answer the how. And trust me; it's not as far-fetched as you may think. While the Internet is a fantastic place to watch videos, keep in touch with old friends, listen to new music, network, or participate in any number of other legal or otherwise illegal activities, it is an even better when utilized as a parental resource centre. How many times have you wished you had something new and handy to entertain you kids while you try to (insert any chore here) do the dishes, laundry, vacuum, etc... It takes you time to make time to spend that time. What a complete waste of time! The solution you ask? Open a webpage, Google a search, print off your find, and you're done. Your children will be more then occupied for the remainder of the time you need! The beauty of the Internet is in the resources it holds; every time, you can find something new. Are your children tired of drawing sea creatures? Print off farm animals. Are they not interested in drawing? Then print them out some word puzzles such as jumbles or crosswords. The point is, parents should look beyond the obvious functions the Internet provides and start using the web as the tool it can be in order to maximize their time. In truth, the vastness of the Internet and the multitude of resources available can be the true time-saver for parents.
